WHO reports an Andes hantavirus outbreak linked to cruise ship M/V Hondius affecting multiple locations. The outbreak was identified following notification of severe acute respiratory illness cases onboard in early May 2026, with a probable case from Tristan da Cunha subsequently laboratory confirmed. This is the fifth WHO Disease Outbreak News bulletin on the outbreak, issued 71 days ago.
